A Little About Me
I work in the tech industry in the heart of the silicon forest (Portland, OR). I am a Pacific Northwest native. I hate the rain and I carry an umbrella on my way to the bus stop. One of my favorite things in the world is getting the seat on the bus with the most ample leg room so that I can open my laptop to learn about and create software. If I could ride the bus all day, I would be the world’s most productive software engineer. To see some of the applications I have designed and developed while riding the bus, check out my github.
I became interested in software engineering as a method to solve problems when I found myself stumbling into the world of code attempting to automate a number monotonous tasks that I was responsible for. However, I discovered my passion for creating software when I bought a pair of shoes that did not fit. Actually, I bought four pairs in different sizes that ultimately did not fit. I became so frustrated with not being able to find comfortable shoes that it developed into an obsession. My vision is to create software that will make buying the correct shoe a certainty without ever needing to try on a single pair. The current iteration of that vision is known as shoesaga.
